The following foods contain 50 milligrams of Vitamin C :

  • 1 kiwifruit
  • 3/4 cup strawberry
  • 1/4 red capsicum
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 orange

The following foods inhibit Iron absorption inhibitors :

  • wheat bran
  • coffee
  • tea
  • wine
  • high doses of calcium.

Therefore avoids these foods at meal times if your iron levels are low and you need to enhance absorption.
