I saw this image on Twitter and it reminded me that I forgot that yesterday 12 May was Fibromyalgia Day. It reminded me that we are time pressured with busy lives and multi-tasking has become the norm.
All of us experience moments when we can become overwhelmed with the pressures of work, keeping up with family and friends and the ever present demands of being connected to technology. It is easy to overdo it and for many those “moments” extend an…d become the everyday experience. The cost is poor sleep, little time for exercise and good nutrition and a loss of any connection to the precious moment, of being present to what is happening now.
Those with Fibromyalgia are less able to resist these stressors without taking remedial action.
Fortunately with meditation we can rebalance, become less anxious and with just a little bit of practice anyone can induce at any time, a feeling of calmness and tranquility. A meditation practice is a cornerstone of good health and for anyone with fibromyalgia it is essential.
The next opportunity for us to show you how to walk the path of meditation is on 1 June. http://tinyurl.com/ne2lcb3 .
A big thank you to whoever produced this image and for the reminder.
